Renters have considerably less wealth than homeowners. In 2022, the median net worth of homeowners was 38 times that of renters ($396,000 versus $10,400). Excluding home equity, homeowners' wealth was still 15 times higher.

This was my first time going through the process of purchasing a home so I was already really stressed.
